OUR STORY

Girl Tribe Co. is more than a brand- it's a celebration of friendship, womanhood, and empowerment.

What started in 2014 as a dream between two high school best friends, Carrie Barker and Sarah Baucom, has since grown into a powerhouse graphic apparel brand based in Charlotte, NC. With a shared love for creativity and a deep passion for uplifting women, Carrie (a trained architect and graphic designer) and Sarah (an interior designer and lover of all things retail) combined their talents to create something that didn’t exist yet: a place where women could feel seen, celebrated, and connected—through what they wear.

What began as a small line of women-positive graphic tees has evolved into a full-scale movement that includes local events, nationwide pop-ups, and a thriving online and retail presence—all powered by an all-women team in the heart of Charlotte.

From designing to printing to shipping, everything we do is done locally, intentionally and with love. Our products are bold, fun, and infused with purpose—just like the women who wear them. Whether you’re celebrating a milestone, hyping your best friend, or simply showing up for yourself, Girl Tribe is here to champion your moment.
