The Making of our Mikayla X Girl Tribe Collection

Today on the blog we are walking through the process from start to finish in creating our special mini collection with influencer Mikayla Keep. 

An Idea Was Born

Our team continues to come up with new ideas, try new collections, and expand our audience. Collaborating with an influencer is something that we had always wanted to do, and after meeting Mikayla at one of our Girl Tribe Pop Up events we knew she would be the perfect influencer to collaborate with. 

From Mood Board to Art Board 

Once we had Mikayla on board we created a mood board drawing inspiration from Mikayla’s Instagram feed and pulled images that we thought would match her vibe and what she would want to wear on a shirt or hat. 

After we created the mood board we presented it to Mikayla in a meeting with our design team and talked about colors, samples, and sayings until we mapped out the perfect mini collection. Our design team was able to take all of the ideas and concepts and create two solid designs: one hat and one sweatshirt

Shoot Day 

In thinking of places to shoot, our team decided that the best place to shoot would be the backdrop of so many of Mikayla's Instagram photos: her very own house. Here are some behind the scenes of the shoot!!
